Farndon Cricket Club was founded at the beginning of the last century and played at various locations around the village during the first few years of its inception. However the club eventually played for many years on a field off School Lane. By the end of the 1960's , better facilities were needed and the club moved to its present location on the playing field at the back of the Memorial Hall. The present pavilion was opened in 1973.
Farndon Cricket Club organise a number of sides to suit all abilities. We put out two sides on Saturdays in the South Nottinghamshire Village League. The 1st X1 play in Division C, whilst the 2nd X1 play in Division K .On Sunday we field a side in the Newark Alliance, whilst we also run a successful Evening League team.
